What is Thai Foot Reflexology?

It is a series of massage techniques applied to the foot and low leg (up to the knee) that is designed to move energy through the body. When your body's energy is balanced, healing can take place.

How is this different from traditional or conventional reflexology?

Many ways! The focus of a Thai Foot session is to release blocked energy in the body and typically leaves clients feeling relaxed, refreshed, and energized. Conventional Reflexology is focused on stimulating reflexes that correspond with your glands, organs, and systems. This tends to leave clients feeling deeply relaxed. The emphasis is to allow the body to enter this state so that the body can heal itself and bring itself into balance.

Where is the Thai Foot Reflexology Chart?

There isn't one, really.  In the Thai model of reflexology, the emphasis is placed on releasing blocked energy and creating a free-flow throughout the body. This is what they believe leads the body to health.

What's with the STICK? Am I going to poke you with it?

The Thai Massage Stick is a tool designed to apply gentle pressure to energy points in the foot as well as stimulate the sides and bottom of the foot and toes. (Yes, I'll poke you with the stick, but no, it won't hurt.) I will demonstrate on your hand what you can expect it to feel like so that there are no surprises during your massage.

How long does it take?

One hour of blissfully pampered feet and legs.

How much is it?

It is $65 to receive a full session. This includes a refreshing foot soak with your choice of essential oils at the beginning of your massage.

What should you wear?

You will want to consider wearing a pair of shorts or pants that can be rolled up to allow access to the knee.
